We offer services to help you turn your outdoor space into a place of beauty, no matter how big or small. We are a flower forward garden company that wants to show you how inviting flowers into your garden can elevate your space, bring joy into your life and connect you to the natural world. Whether you're looking for consulting, hands on coaching or garden design services, Garden Folk will provide you with the tools and knowhow to cultivate your space into a floral wonderland.
Your garden should be a safe haven for all to enjoy, from the smallest earth worm to your pets, children, neighbors and friends. To ensure this, we use gardening methods that benefit the health and wellness of your soil first and foremost. Building on a strong foundation of soil life and organic matter is how we work with nature, not against it, rewarding you with a garden that is healthy, floriferous and full of life.
Rachel Klausen
Owner and Designer
Through a range of experience in floral design, landscaping, and flower farming, I’ve acquired a distinct and valuable skill set that allows me offer clients a truly unique approach to gardening. Every aspect of my work is centered around my passion for beauty, sustainability and the joy of gardening.
Along side Garden Folk, I run a small floral design studio that grows and designs with local and seasonal specialty cut flowers called Local Flora. I attended The Sustainable Flowers Workshop in 2019 and have continued my floral education by attending similar events each year since. I am a member of the Association of Specialty Cut Flowers Growers and attended their first West and Northwest Regional Conference this past fall. My commitment to sustainability afforded me a spot as a finalist for the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce Environmental Initiative Award in 2024 which was a professional highlight.
Flowers have been a constant source of joy and inspiration throughout my life, teaching me many lessons that extend far beyond the walls of the garden or flower shop. Through Garden Folk, I hope to share this joy with you.
